Hokkaido Exhibition

•January 27, 2012 • Leave a Comment

As the temperature in Hokkaido, Japan hit -30 overnight, it has prompted me to let everyone know that we now have hanging in our studio an Exhibition called ‘Hokkaido”. It features a selection of images from my book that was a Finalist in the Australian Photography Book Of The Year at the Head On photography festival. Please feel free to drop by to check it out and see a copy of the book. If you can’t, you can see the images from the book in this presentation. Music by Japanese band Mono, titled ‘Hymn to the Immortal Wind’. Enjoy.

Congratulations to the amazing Natalie and Paul who were married an a moving ceremony last weekend at the equally amazing Kanbeki House in the Currumbin Valley. There were laughs, tears, smiles, and everything in between at the gorgeous wedding. It was such a pleasure for us to photograph such a perfect day, and a perfect way to finish 2011! Natalie’s super gown was created by Helena Couture Designs, and she was styled by the brilliant Allure Professional Hair & Make-Up. Merry Christmas to you both and enjoy your honeymoon! Israel Folau for Swisse

Catching up on some blogging I’ve been wanting to do, this one with former NRL star almost certainly future Greater Western Sydney Giants AFL star Israel Folau. These images weren’t used in the Swisse campaign but I really love them, especially ‘the leap’. The shoot was at Blacktown International Sportspark in August. If anyone has any doubts about him, he is a very humble athlete and the guy can run, jump and kick it a mile – in a few seasons he will be unstoppable. Good luck Izzy!

Congratulations Kyla & Chris

Sometimes it’s quite hard to articulate the love that is ‘in the room’ when two people get married watched on by their own children, parents, family and friends – and it happens all at their own home. For Kyla and Chris (some of you will know Kyla as Divine Wedding Flowers), this was the perfect way to say ‘I do’. Instead of me waffling on, hopefully the images will give you a better idea. I particularly love how Kyla’s girl Ellie couldn’t watch this kiss and hide behind her bouquet! It was a glorious day, the attention to detail superb, and these guys showed the “young ‘uns” what romance is all about! Thanks so much for having us photograph this wonderful event in your lives together, and we trust (a kid-free) Hawaii was a blast! Take care, Merry Christmas, and see you both very soon. Best wishes, Andrew & Nicole.

Enjoy!

Congratulations to the brilliant Alana & Michael who were married in a beautiful ceremony at one of our very favourite wedding venues, Currumbin Valley’s Kanbeki House. It was glorious summer day, and to cap it off, we even managed to escape to one of our other very favourite places, Currumbin Beach. Quite a double indeed. Alana and Michael, along with their super-fun bridal party, had a fabulous day and it was truly a pleasure to be a part of. Thank you so much for having us and we hope your honeymoon so awesome. In the meantime share this preview with all your family and friends, and you can even put this straight onto your Facebook page too! Take care and really look forward to seeing you both again very soon. Best wishes, Andrew, Nicole and Lara.

Thank you!

Not many girls get to be married by their Dad, but for Kara that’s exactly what happened when she married Shane in a ceremony by her father Steve. Such a connection added such emotion to what was already a beautiful day at Arundel Hills Country Club. It was also a treat for us to see so many familiar faces among the crowd! After the ceremony we enjoyed a wonderful photo shoot around Arundel Hills beautiful grounds, and then everyone settled in for a great reception in the ballroom. Thank you for having us and we hope you enjoy your honeymoon! For now, feel free to share this with all your family and friends and linking in straight to your Facebook page.   Really look forward to seeing you both again very soon. Best wishes, Andrew, Nicole, and Lara.

Thank You!

Congratulations to the totally awesome Leonie and Blake, who were married on a gorgeous sunny afternoon at The Panorama, Tallai. Surrounded by family and friends from all over the world, Leonie and Blake exchanged vows in a beautiful ceremony by Helen Murray. If there is a guy out there with a better smile than Blake, I’ve yet to meet him. But then again, if you are marrying Leonie, why wouldn’t you be happy? Even their dog looked like he was having fun! Leonie was styled by by Sophie from Blush All Over, and the video was shot by Playback Films. Thank you so much for having us as part of your day, and we really look forward to seeing you both again very soon. Best wishes, Andrew, Nicole and Lara. For now, enjoy your preview and please feel free to shar eit with all your family and friends!

Thank You!

Ricky Ponting at The Gabba for Swisse

•November 29, 2011 • Leave a Comment

On Sunday we all braved the unbelievable heat and humidity in Brisbane for Ricky’s final Swisse shoot for 2011. 32 degrees, full sun, 90% humidity aren’t the greatest of shooting conditions but we got through it all! We were cut short by The Gabba’s sprinklers coming on a little prematurely, but I guess they have a Test match starting on Thursday to prepare for. I for one hope Ricky does really well. If you believe in coincidences, this is my 100th blog entry – so that good be a great omen for Ricky. Hopefully he racks up a 100 too! Then again, he is Australia’s greatest run scorer and our best since Bradman, so he probably doesn’t need my help….

Go Ricky. Champion cricketer and champion bloke.

Congratulations Stacey & Lewis

Any bride that walks down the aisle to Johnny Cash “I Walk The Line” and exits with her new husband to “Sweet Child O’ Mine” is cool with me. This day had a quirky twist – halloween themes, red carpet lined with broomsticks and pumpkins, a classic American car, a photo shoot in an abandoned house, a photo shoot at a carousel – and a Macca’s run too. All of it so much fun! Thank you Stacey & Lewis for having us as part of your awesome wedding day, and so great to see you making it your own. Lara and I loved every minute of it!. For now, share your preview with all your family and friends or even drop it straight onto your Facebook page using the share buttons on the right. Enjoy and see you both again very soon. Best wishes, Andrew, Nicole and Lara.

Enjoy and share!
